Summary

Young Viking Vitharr and his family arrive on the Welsh coast with dreams of adventure and exploration. Unfortunately, his family and companions are killed by rival Wyman. Vitharr is left alone in a new land with thoughts of revenge. He ends up a prisoner in an amphitheater where he is forced to engage in combat for entertainment. He hopes to rise through the ranks and eventually gain enough stature to take on the man who destroyed his family
